Outfit for a newsletter picture, Peppeberry jackets are my salvation!

For once a picture that show’s my size… But as I am what I am I just need to keep my head up high. But a bit of a wakeup call for me, this pic is going on my fridge door :) As for business attire, well fitting jackets are such a blessing, they instantly give you firm shape and smarten any outfit. This Pepperberry jacket (16RC) from last summer is one of my favorites as it injects colour into my otherwise neutral / black clothing and also goes so well with jeans for a night out at the pub. Top is a strechy H&M one with double lining at the top, size M I think. Skirt also from H&M, size 42 EUR but a bit small..

And as it might appear on the picture, my work project team is me & my men :)

Ikea outfit, how I dress for hauling flat boxes.

Saturday was a warmish spring day here but unfortunately quite dull and gray so I decided to face my demons and head to Ikea (15min away from my home) despite it being saturday. We are in the process of changing our bookshelves to white Ikea Billy ones with doors but only half is done. Decided to get one and still have bruises from the trip, a woman + 40kg and 2 meters long package left some marks when I somehow managed to get it loaded into my car. When I left I knew I needed sensible clothes, comfortable shoes and lots of patience. So here’s what I ended up wearing.

Pepperberry jeans jacket 16RC, some old knitted tunic that I have no idea where I got it from anymore but it’s size L. Shorts are from H&M and size 44 (UK16). Shoes are actually my western riding shoes from Hööks. Bag my current favorite one from Esprit.

But have to admit that the bookshelves and doors are still in my car, we have not had the energy to actually haul it in and put it together…. We know how much work it is since we’ve put a few together already :) Do you make sensible decisions with shoes and outfits when you know you need to carry stuff or just never compromise?

I’m back, with new shoes – loving spring!

Hey all you lovely women out there! I’m finally back and the spring has put a smile back on my face. Life is still strange but I’m trying to make the best out of it. Starting today with an outfit of the day. Love my new Marco Tozzi shoes so much! And some patterned tights I got from an outlet store a month or so ago. Dress is by Pepperberry size 14SC and the jacket is also from Pepperberry, 16RC. Scarf is a cashmere one from Guess. Bag is an Esprit one.

Hope everyone is enjoying the spring sunshine!

Shades of early spring.

Finally got around taking pics of what I wore today, well – mobile mirror pics at least. Went to another office building that happens to have big mirrors. Spring is coming slowly but steadily up here too so was able to just wear my Pepperberry mac (16RC) as a coat. Jeans local supermarket size 14, shirt size 12 from H&M (from a few summers ago!) and size 14 jacket from H&M (also a few years old). Boots from New Look, wide fit and size 5.

Will try take more outfit pictures soon, do wear something different every day of one work week :) Hope everyone is having a great spring feeling too!

Spring arrived with Pepperberry!

So monday turned out to be the best day of this week, got my Pepperberry order! Here are snapshots of when I tried them on.

Here’s the stripey dress in 16RC, need that size with these styles usually with my wide shoulders and I was right. It fitted perfectly and 14SC would’ve been too tight. First thought it’s too young and girly but when accesorized with the brilliant denim jacket (16RC) and red heels I could see myself wearing this in the spring / summer. The dress material is quite thick so might be a bit hot for warmer / humid climates – but I’m sure it’ll be perfect for our weather up here in the north for most of spring and summer. Denim jacket, still in awe that I can button one up that isn’t a mens jacket! Only thing I dislike are the buttons which are a tiny bit bling, bling for my taste.

Next is the purple dress which is a long sleeved version of last years lbd which I absolutely loved (as seen in this previous post ) This is 14R/SC – a bit snug but simply must lose weight and not gain. Another keeper.

This is not such a success but really love the colours and for the sale price I am keeping it. As such it does make a big girl like me look bigger than many other dresses – the pattern just does not flatter bigger shapes. But have been loving this comfy style with the denim skirt today at work, looks more adult but don’t mind – I am only a few days away from 34! Also worked much better with an orange cardi, black smart jacket, the denim jacket – basically just hiding part of the pattern helped a lot with this dress. Size 16RC.

Thanks again Pepperberry!

Second hand shopping for 7,40€!!!

OMG, OMG. Have not been second-hand shopping in AGES. Went to a big eco center where people donate stuff (Kierrätyskeskus in Matinkylä), originally to look at some furniture. But ended up getting two totally trendy and fierce blazers, must be originally from the 80′ties. One bright orange and one deepish red. Also got boootiful red heels, think also from the 80′ties by the design which was totally my style + a simple black sleek leather bag with a vintage feel – all this cost me 7,40€!!! And all items were in top notch condition. So here’s what I got:

The orange blazer, will replace the button and sorry for the quality of this, my cameraphone flash did not function well under the voyer lighting. Shoes: Vagabond, knitted dress Mexx, bracelet from Les Puces in Paris, silk scarf from Aleksi 13, blazer – second hand.

And here’s the red blazer, originally wanted it to wear with blue jeans but ended up wearing a denim skirt here. But a very versatile, relaxed blazer that will go with so many outfits. Shoes are the second-hand shoes I got today as is the blazer, hat from Stockmann, bag – second-hand from today, knitted top and denim skirt H&M, wooden necklace from Bijou Brigitte.

One more picture to show that I still do have a fringe, just rarely show it.Here tired and worn late last saturday after coming home from the Finnish ESC qualifying competition.

Muchos <3 to all this friday from me!

Meet me!

A while ago someone made a comment that I should put some faceshots here too when I revealed I’ve had a hard time with my nose with kids picking on me when I was younger. Also had braces for 7 years and it took a long time for me to have the guts to smile with my mouth open and if so, then not hide my mouth with my hand. But here I am, teeth, nose and all, without makeup and with some. Serious, smiling, laughing, goofing around. Saying hello to all my lovely readers!

and here’s my other half, well not really but as Mr.Curveissa is camera shy and publicity shy here’s someone who is a total Doppelganger to him!

Finally shopping again :)

Ok, so next week some new stuff arriving from Pepperberry and got an amazing bronzy / denim outfit a week or so ago to wear to an event, was so cosy but still smart casual glammed up. Here’s a preview of the dresses as seen on the models who are selling them. Can guarantee they will look nothing like this on me but hope most of them will work.

Got them in following sizes from left to right, 16RC, 14 R/SC, 16RC.

Also just had to have a go at this denim jacket, maybe, just maybe I will have a great fitting denim jacket that buttons up!?!?! Before there has been absolutely no chance :)

Excited! Lets just see how everything will fit next week
